Skill credits
Two credit currencies pay for levers: one shared pool of total skill credits for skill-level levers, and a separate per-skill pool for each skill's activity, quantity and node levers.
Rules and numbers
- dev note The total-credit pool is 200 plus your total level, minus what is spent on skill-level levers; a new account (total level 39) has 239.
total_credits = 200 + total_level - SUM(cost_total(L_skill))Source: Constants.js:227-239 - confirmed You gain 1 total credit per level gained, which is the same rule seen from the other side.
TOTAL_CREDIT_PER_LEVEL_UP = 1Source: Constants.js:261 - confirmed Each skill starts with 10 individual credits and earns 1 more per completed task in that skill.
STARTING_INDIVIDUAL_SKILL_CREDITS 10; INDIVIDUAL_CREDIT_PER_TASK_COMPLETE 1Source: Constants.js:240, Constants.js:262 - dev note At max total level (3,075) the pool reaches 3,275, while maxing all 17 skill-level levers would cost 13,175 (775 each).
17 * 25 * (2^5 - 1) = 13175Source: Constants.js:229-238, Constants.js:510 - dev note The balance is rebuilt from the formula on every login and before every save, so a change to the base re-grants or reclaims the difference for everyone.Source: Constants.js:232
- dev note A Potion of Discovery adds +1 individual skill credit per task completion while it has charges.
DISCOVERY_TASK_BONUS = 1Source: Constants.js:1569-1577 - unknown Slay tasks earn Slay individual credits used for the per-mob levers; tips.json says so, the exact amount is server-side.Source: tips.json
